457 Builds provides general information about parts, compatibility and maintenance. It is not professional gunsmithing, legal or safety advice. Verify fitment with the manufacturer and use a qualified gunsmith for work you are not trained to do.

Safety and the law

You are solely responsible for handling firearms safely and for complying with all federal, state and local laws, including laws on purchase, transport, modification, magazines, barrels and suppressors (NFA). Nothing here encourages unlawful activity.

Gunsmithing content

Procedures and torque values cite manufacturer manuals and the named sources. Modifying a firearm can void warranties and create hazards. To the fullest extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for damage, injury or loss resulting from use of this information.

Prices and stock are shown as of the date checked and may be wrong or out of date. Purchases are between you and the retailer. Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience; we don't control those sites. Some links are affiliate links (see the affiliate disclosure).
