New owner quick-start

  1. Confirm it's a 457, not a 455 — stocks, triggers and rails differ.
  2. Torque: stock screws 3.5 Nm; barrel screws 5.5 Nm, tightened after the mag-housing screw.
  3. Use a clamp-on rail instead of dovetail rings if you see scope slip.
  4. Barrel swaps: headspace-check every barrel; CZ says a gunsmith should fit Mini-sets.
  5. Threads: US 1/2-28, non-US 1/2-20.
  6. See known issues and the ~$197 budget build.
